TRAVEL ADVICE

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with a travel clinic to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

We do some limited travel advice and vaccines.  To make best use of this service, please complete a travel form from at least 8 weeks before travel; you will then be contacted for an appointment. An online version of the form can be found on the link below.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible, at least 6 weeks before you travel, as a second appointment may be required. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow time for the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

You can be seen at a private clinic to obtain your travel vaccines.  Local private travel clinics include:

  • Manchester Travel Clinic (28 Ladybarn Lane, M14 6WP) contact on 07976 629 874
  • Wilmslow Health Centre Travel Clinic (Chapel Lane, SK9 5HS) contact on 01625 548 555
  • Superdrug Travel clinic (Piccadilly) contact on 08450 260 830

TRAVEL ASSESSMENT FORM

If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 8 weeks) before your journey.
